Hey! Here I am! 
The forum looks awesome for the young age it has.
I'm just not a big fan of this negative colour layout. I personally prefer black (or dark colours) typo on a brighter background, if light-grey, light-brown or whatever else doesn't really matter. Or maybe replacing the black background (really don't like black backgrounds) with a decent, discreet pic? Not sure, but I think it looks a bit boring and it's probably not that great for having a good overview.
Just my thoughts, that's what I think.
But don't worry! Great start for a forum and honestly, looks isn't the most important thing, but at least you don't want to miss it.
