How to be a "pro"? Empty How to be a "pro"?

Post by Temetias. on Wed Jan 04, 2012 3:10 am

Let me explain: There are all these "lists" that are supposed to tell us some of the pro tuners in the game. How do we decide that someone is a pro? I think I might have some quite fast tunes for SSR7 and I think I could beat some of the "pros". But being fast doesn't seem to be enough. Without reputation you're nothing. So how does one earn his pro status? Is it his/her friend list? The amount of people he/she has whooped? The amount of people he/she has helped? The amount of fast tunes? Time spent on GTP/GTD? How to be a "pro"? 1927768590 Being in a team?

Opinions?

The amount of tunes, reputation, experience, who you know, being on a reputable team (sometimes), not being an asshole, your first tune on a car is competitive...

It's a bit of all you've said above.

And it needs time.

Yes you have GOT to put time in. You will get nowhere without it. And that my friend is the old hard truth.

IMO, the following, in order.

1. How many times your tune wins
2. How many cars you have tuned
3. How fast you can "tree"
4. What people say about you

I dont consider myself a "pro" by any means but i've run into alot of guys that are very good at tuning a car.But those that don't consider themselves to be Gods gift to drag racing puts them in the professional catagory.

Totally agree. The only reason someone will say he's the best at dragging is because he isn't...
