1/4 Drag: The Car Classes Empty 1/4 Drag: The Car Classes

Post by DLR Tue Dec 27, 2011 1:43 pm

I have found that while dragging at Indy, too many people are matching themselves up with cars they can't beat or cars they will defiantly beat. Example? Viper ACR vs Ferrari 458.... Nissan GT-R vs Toyota Supra... Either some people think they have amazing tunes or they don't know what they are racing against.

This thread will classify the cars into groups that make them all capable of beating any of the other cars in their class.

Keys: I color coded the cars in each class based on their performance. The cars are still capable of beating each other but some cars have small advantages that are not significant enough to move them into another class.
- Red[/COLOR] = Fastest cars in their class and most likely to win.
- Blue
= Will beat the cars in red ONLY if their tune is very good
- Grey = Least likely to win. Still possible but not of the tune quality is equal on both cars and they both get an even launch.

Launch Rating: I will rate each of these cars launch on a scale of 1 - 10; 1 being a horrible launch and 10 being a godly launch 1/4 Drag: The Car Classes 364988687

Now that's all I can think of right now. I know lots if you will say "Hey I beat a car from a higher class!"; well yea, these are if the cars are properly tuned. I have beat an Enzo with my Dodge RAM before so a tune matters a lot. There's a lot more to add to this list so please give me your suggestions.

I've been reading the class series...and there are 2 confusing messages.

Class 2 are less then Class 2 and same for Class 6...makes no sense Sad

Do I need to have GT4 to drag because GT5 doesn't have a drag option..

Thanks!

You have much to learn young one...

Indy road course online is our drag strip. Look for "1/4 drag rooms".

He meant compared to class 1 and compared to class 5. That was a typo..

Fixed Thumbs Up

Drag racing is not an "official" per say event in GT5. But we have found a way to do it online. Check out this thread:

On class 6, the Mitsu Evo x... I believe that the Evo x is the hardest launching car in the game. PERIOD. In my expert opinion... It out launches any evo/sti by a car... and can launch with a GT-R 09...

Are these numbers what your cars trap, DLR? Or are they some sort of average traps? Some of them seem just a bit high....

They're what I trap about a car after the shadow, where real 1/4 is. So at the shadow, minus 1 or 2 mph??

Holy Updated. Mach 1 traps 143 and Shelby GT350 traps 135. Mach 1 launch is a 6 and GT350 is probably a 2 or 3.

The Pikes Peak, if tuned right, will be in the Class 3, if not, even Class 2.
